The Suncrest Community Help Initiative is a ministry of Suncrest United Methodist Church focused on meeting practical needs and supporting the well-being of our neighbors throughout the community. This initiative includes programs such as the Blessing Boxes, The Nurture Nook, Roots of Renewal, hygiene and harm reduction outreach, wellness partnerships, and emergency financial assistance. Through the Community Help Fund, we are able to assist individuals and families with essential needs including utilities, groceries, gas, transportation, and other emergency support during times of hardship. Our mission is simple: to help ensure that every neighbor is fed, housed, and healthy through compassion, dignity, and community care.

Blessing Boxes

The Blessing Boxes are a simple way we care for our community by providing free food, hygiene items, and everyday essentials to neighbors in need. Available 24/7, these boxes are stocked through the generosity of our church and community partners to ensure that anyone facing hardship can access support with dignity and compassion. Through this ministry, we strive to live out our mission of keeping every neighbor fed, housed, and healthy.

Roots of renewal

Roots of Renewal is a ministry focused on restoring dignity, hope, and connection for women experiencing homelessness or transitional housing. Through spa-like care days, personal care items, encouragement, and community support, we create a welcoming space where women can rest, feel valued, and experience compassion. Roots of Renewal reminds every participant that they are worthy, loved, and never alone.

Nurture Nook

The Nurture Nook is a ministry dedicated to providing care, dignity, and practical support to individuals and families in need throughout our community. Through hygiene supplies, harm reduction supplies, winter care items, emergency essentials, and outreach support, the Nurture Nook serves as a place of compassion and hope for neighbors facing difficult circumstances. Our mission is to ensure that every person feels seen, supported, and cared for.
